The essentials in plain language
You pay HomeUpdate nothing for the request or the introduction. The partners fund the service.
You remain free to accept or refuse an offer and to choose your provider.
HomeUpdate may pass your request to a maximum of two suitable partners.
The works or services contract is concluded directly with the chosen partner.
This summary is for readability. The detailed provisions below remain the full contractual version.
1. Operator and scope
HomeUpdate is a brand operated by Parcours S.à r.l.-S, a simplified private limited company with registered office at 12, Rue St. Willibrord, L-2729 Luxembourg, registered with the RCS Luxembourg under number B217308, VAT-registered under LU29589054 and represented by its sole manager Thierry Henschen.
These terms govern the use of the HomeUpdate introduction service by any natural or legal person submitting a request (the "User"). They do not govern contracts later concluded between the User and a partner.
The service may be used by a natural person aged at least 18 with legal capacity. Anyone acting for a company or a third party confirms they are authorised to do so.
2. Description and price of the service
HomeUpdate lets the User describe a project relating to their home or a property. Parcours may qualify that request by form, phone or email, then look for up to two partners able to respond.
The HomeUpdate service is free for the User and carries no obligation to buy. Parcours is paid by the partners for the introduction or under the commercial agreements concluded with them. That payment does not increase the price of an offer already accepted by the User, subject to the partner's own terms.
3. Submitting and handling a request
The User can check and change their answers before final submission. By confirming the request, they ask for the introduction service described here to be performed.
HomeUpdate may contact the User to clarify the project, verify contact details, arrange an appointment or confirm consent to pass it on. HomeUpdate may refuse or suspend a request that is clearly incomplete, fraudulent, repetitive, unrelated to the service or impossible to process.
Sending a request does not guarantee that a partner will be available, will make contact, will submit an offer or that a project will go ahead.
4. Partners, contact and offers
After the request has been qualified and in line with the User's choices, contact details and project information may be passed to a maximum of two partners. They may contact the User by phone or email, ask for details or propose a site visit.
The partners are legally independent companies. They set their own offers, prices, lead times, warranties and contractual terms. The User is free to decide whether to proceed and should examine the offer before accepting it.
HomeUpdate is not the seller, the installer, the contractor or the estate agent in the final contract. Parcours is not a party to the contract concluded between the User and a partner and cannot accept an offer on behalf of either.
5. The User's obligations
The User undertakes to give truthful, sufficiently precise and up-to-date information, not to use a third party's identity or contact details, and to use the service in good faith. They tell HomeUpdate if the request is no longer current or if they no longer wish to be contacted.
Before committing to a partner, the User should in particular check the company's identity, its licence, its insurance, the details of the offer, the price, the schedule, the warranties and the payment terms.
6. Availability and limits of the service
HomeUpdate makes reasonable efforts to select suitable partners and keep the site available. The service may nonetheless be interrupted for maintenance, for security reasons or because of an event outside our control.
The prices, grants, savings, lead times and estimates shown on the site are indicative. Only the partner's written offer, after examining the project, can bind that partner. HomeUpdate does not guarantee the accuracy of an automated estimate or that public funding will be granted.
7. Liability
Parcours is answerable for its own obligations under applicable law. It is not responsible for the preparation, content or performance of the contract concluded directly between the User and a partner, nor for that partner's acts or omissions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, in particular for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, harm to life or physical integrity, or under mandatory consumer rights.
For damage caused by slight negligence, Parcours's liability is limited to direct and reasonably foreseeable damage arising from breach of an essential obligation, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer and conclude this contract at a distance, you generally have 14 calendar days from its conclusion to withdraw without giving a reason and without penalty.
To exercise this right, send a clear statement before the deadline to Parcours S.à r.l.-S, 12, Rue St. Willibrord, L-2729 Luxembourg, or to info@homeupdate.lu. You may use the model below, though you are not obliged to.
If you expressly ask for the introduction to start during the withdrawal period, HomeUpdate may begin qualifying and passing on your request. As the service is free for the User, no payment is due to HomeUpdate if you withdraw. Where the service has been fully performed before the end of the period, the right of withdrawal can only lapse under the conditions laid down by law, in particular after express prior consent and acknowledgement of that consequence.

The processing of contact details and project information is described in the Privacy policy. Transfer to partners takes place in line with the information and choices presented to the User.
The site, its texts, visuals, trade marks, databases and technical elements are protected. The User may consult them for personal use but may not copy, extract or substantially exploit them without permission or a legal basis.
10. Applicable law, complaints and disputes
These terms are governed by Luxembourg law, without depriving a consumer of the mandatory protections available in their country of residence. The competent courts are determined by the applicable mandatory rules; no clause limits a consumer's right to bring proceedings before the competent court.
If something goes wrong, first contact HomeUpdate at info@homeupdate.lu. If no amicable solution is found, the consumer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator, 6, rue du Palais de Justice, L-1841 Luxembourg, after trying to settle the dispute directly with Parcours.
If a provision is held invalid, the others remain applicable. We may update these terms for the future. The version that applies is the one accepted at the time of the request.
